Bring a piece of autumn in Northern New Mexico into your home. The gorgeous colors and textures of Chamisa season in our corner of the world knocked my socks off this year. (They made me sneeze, too, but that’s one of the beautiful things about plant art: you get the beauty without the sneezing!)

The array of gold blooms and frothy, feathery seeds ready to disperse are enchanting. I tried to capture some of it with my brush.
